Meet Dr Graham

Dr. Richard F. Graham was born in Morris, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where he majored in Chemistry and Psychology. He completed his dental degree at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago. Following graduation with Honors he completed a one year Internship in General Anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Following the internship he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University, Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He served as Cheif Resident during his last year at LSU. Dr. Graham opened the Jefferson City Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic in 1973.

Dr. Graham’s four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery included an academic appointment at Tulane University Medical School as Head and Neck Anatomy instructor as well as specialized training in maxillofacial reconstruction, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and extraction of teeth. He has attended numerous advanced training courses in dental implantology and bone grafting. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Implant Dentistry, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Graham has been an examiner for the Missouri State Dental Board on General Anesthesia and Deep Sedation for the past thirty years and Evaluator of Dental and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for PRIMARIS. He is also a member of Delta Sigma Delta and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an Honorary Dental Fraternity. He is currently an active member of the Medical Staff at Capital Region Medical Center and St. Mary’s Health Center.

Dr. Graham and his wife, Sally have three children, Jonathan, D’Arcy and Erin. Erin is currently a second year dental student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a Charter Member, Past President and current active member of Jefferson City Rotary West, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, is a member of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City where he served on numerous Boards. Other volunteer organizations he has been involved in include a live membership and past Chairmanship of Whitetails Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoys big game hunting, markmanship, world travel, photography, farming, hiking, NASCAR races and spending time with his family.
